But Polian is more of the mindset, you go for the best player available. And if they happen to fill a need, all the better. Normally teams go for offensive players first, then the defensive players. So if you have a low draft pick, defensive guys are your best pick like when they grabbed Angerer (a great pick btw). Last year the Colts focused on the O-line because of the big contract with Manning and protecting their investment. If you put big money into a QB. The first thing you should invest money in is the O-line so he can do his job and so he doesn't get hurt. If you have a great QB and he has a bad O-line then you can't pass the ball, you can't run the ball, and the QB can get hurt (ALL BAD). This year, I'd say the Colts picks likely follows last years picks, but they cut out a running back pick and replace it with a defensive pick or QB pick or possibly a wide receiver.
