  • Can someone suggets some resources for DB directory structure organization and naming conventions?

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2010 and filed under organization structure | 1 Comment »

I work with retail sales databases (Access, SAS, DBF, Excel) and GIS data. I realize I would be much more efficient if I adhered to a conventional method of directory organization. Any suggestions on where to start?

Hi, you might want to look at Database Normalisation.

Its a process to make your databases more efficient and reduce redundant data.

Many tutorials on the net, I had a great one bookmarked but its down at the moment.
