Top 5 Media Organization That Slipped in 2009 – Ragggs.com Year In Review

It’s no secret that mainstream media is driven by advertising sales. If they cant get the eyeballs, they cant get the ad spend so they can’t really sustain the business.

Unfortunately, here are the UKs top 5 media organizations that Fell Off or have started to slip in 2009:

    5. Channel U – After going into voluntary liquidation in February, they moved into smaller offices and rebranded in March as AKA hitting just 137,000 daily viewers.

    4. RWDMag.com website – since the forum died down the traffic on the site has been dropping. We’re sure they’ll turn things around in 2010.

    3. BET UK – still without any UK content they are struggling to draw in large audiences with both the main channel and +1 combined hitting a mear 37,000 daily viewers.

    2. New Nation newspaper – forced into administration in January, there were rumours of it resurfacing but we haven’t seen it on the shelves just yet.

    1. Hip Hop Connection Magazine – folding the mag after 21 years as the number 1 monthly they are now available online only at hhcdigital.com – a possible sign that Hip Hop is losing to Grime in the UK.

I like this girl..she is confident, as SCGtv91 said. Not gonna lie; she’s a little bit too scripted – if she loosens up and tlaks more casually, she’d be even better.

Thumbs up to you tho Antonia!

      how is grime losing …
how is grime losing to hip hop in the uk. is it just me that remembers seeing all of grimes ‘top’ artist selling out to pop music. and the rest grimes artist not getting the promo behind them to make an impact on nation wide sales.
i’m betting that drake sold more units of ’successful’ and ‘best i ever’ than any (real) grime artist singles.
